✅ Appointment Preparation & Identification Requirements

To ensure a smooth and efficient appointment, please be fully prepared by having the following:

  • 📄 All documents ready for signing
  • 🆔 A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID

✔️ Acceptable Forms of Identification Include:

  • A California or out-of-state driver’s license
  • A California or out-of-state identification card
  • A U.S. Passport or a foreign passport stamped by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Services (USCIS)
  • A Canadian or Mexican driver’s license issued by a government agency
  • A U.S. Military ID (must contain photo, description, signature, and ID number)
  • An inmate ID issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (for individuals in custody)
  • A California state or municipal employee ID card

🚗 Travel, ⏳ Wait Time & ❌ Non-Signing Policy

Mitchell Mobile Notary Services reserves time and travel exclusively for each scheduled appointment.

🚨 Non-Signing Appointments
If the notary arrives at the scheduled location and the signing does not occur for any reason—including, but not limited to, signer unavailability, incomplete or incorrect documents, lack of required identification, refusal to sign, or lender/title issues—all applicable travel and wait time fees are due at the time of the appointment.

🚗 Travel & ⏳ Wait Time Fees
Travel and wait time fees compensate for mileage, reserved time, and professional availability and are non-refundable once the notary has arrived at the appointment location.

💳 Deposits & Specialty Appointments
Certain services, extended travel distances, after-hours appointments, or specialty signings may require a deposit toward travel fees prior to service. Deposits are applied to the total cost but are non-refundable if the appointment is canceled, rescheduled, or results in a non-signing after arrival.

📜 California Notary Fees
Notarial act fees are set by California state law and are charged separately from travel, convenience, and wait time fees.
